Rat and Skull

     I love this picture.
The reason is that it is an odd combination of toys to have on the table at the cafe.  Both are symbols of death and disease.
No one seems to care, notice, or mind.
People do not pay much attention to what I do at the cafe, though I did catch some nosy woman looking at my stuff on my table today.  She never talks to me, but later gave me half of a bagel with cream cheese.  It is the first time she ever gave me anything.
We've both been in the same cafe for over three years, and I don't know what the deal is with this woman.
She has a small little dog that I have fantasized about kicking.
Of course, I would never kick a dog, but it was funny to say, because it is her dog, and I have never been a big fan of hers.
She seems like a woman into other people's business, but doesn't do much herself.
Maybe I am wrong, I have been before.

For fun, I would like to paint her naked, both front and back, with her little mutt on a leash in the picture.  That would be funny and amusing to me.

I should give people a break more, for one never knows who might turn out to be a friend.  I just wish people who were interested in what I was doing would just say 'hello' without all the rigamarole.
Then again, maybe it is me.  Maybe I scare people off, or intimidate them, or whatever.

Crane and Pirate Toys

I like this photo for the division of space.
The only part I really do not like is that little white area in the lower right-hand corner.  If not for that, it would be a good photo.

This is my toy crane that I found in my father's room in Hollywood after he died.  It has got to be from the 50's or 60's, I think.
I guess I could look it up on the web, but I am too lazy right now.

I thought it was cool that the crane could hold an egg.

I have to fix the crane, though.  One of the supports is broken, as you can see.

These toy pirates I bought at the dollar store.
They are all very muscle-bound, like superheroes, or gay men.
In any case, they have very tight pants.
It is like their clothes are painted on, but their crotch is like a woman.  No bulge in sight.
Here is my modified coffee cup.  I like it.

I don't know if it is necessarily right to mention it, but that woman's arm looks as thick as my thigh.

Discovery Favors The Prepared Mind

It was another day at the cafe today.  I continued work on my animation project.  I also had fun with magnetic letters.

"Discovery Favors The Prepared Mind" is a good phrase.

It is even more fun when accompanied by a skull and a duck.

Yet Another Day At The Cafe With A Skull

Here are some pictures of stuff that I had on the table today at the cafe...
Mr. Skull, with my decorated coffee cup.
Toy Magnetic Letters are a lot of fun.
I might as well self-promote.  I have nothing to lose, and it isn't like anybody else is going to do it.
Some project I am working on.

At first I resisted, but then I photographed it with the guy in the back.  I thought it was funny to put him in the picture.

Mr. Skull with an anatomical supply catalog.
Mr. Skull with my hat.  Maybe I should be buried with this hat, if I still have it when that happens.
That toy crane is pretty old.  It used to belong to my father.
      My drawing of a brain.

      The Happy/Sad Meter.
      Ecstatically Happy.
      Really Distressed and Miserable.
The Little Cowboy is going to drop a 10 Ton Weight into a funnel.

This chick is a student, looking to go into the Medical Field.

"Some Dogs Are Brown"

Louis CK has a comedy bit where he is leading his daughter along a crowded sidewalk, and the daughter makes him stop so she can tell him, "Some dogs are brown".
That bit is hilarious.  I love when Louis CK talks about kids, and what little frustrating monsters they are.

Anyway, I get to see a lot of dogs at the cafe which is nice, because I don't have to take care of them.

The Creepy Bicycle Guy with Sunglasses

There was some really creepy guy with sunglasses on, looking in my general direction.  It made me feel really uncomfortable, even though I know that he wasn't interested in what I was doing.
He ate his chocolate cake out of a box, and his head was just pointing in my direction, but not exactly at me.
I tried to figure out what he was looking at.
I turned to look, and it was just traffic.
He just was staring into space.
I know he was a creepy guy, with not much to do.
He finally put on a bike helmet.
Then he was on his cell phone while standing on the sidewalk, but he was pointed right at me.
The only way to get him to stop making me feel uncomfortable was to leave.

People who wear sunglasses generally make me feel uncomfortable, especially if the day is overcast, or if it is indoors.
People who wear sunglasses don't want to make eye contact with people.  It is a very guarded position, as if their shields are up.
     I find it really unfun.

I was sitting outside, minding my own business, writing in my notepad before he showed up.  Then, he made me feel self-conscious.

I hope to never see him again.

I bet if I had talked to him, that he would have been creepy in his dialogue.

One day, I decided to try another coffee shop.  The coffee was very good, but the girl watching is much better at my normal cafe.
